Computing Facility
IISER has its Computer Center to maintain the Proxy, mail, DNS, DHCP, web & library services. It also provides the computation facility to the students, faculty and staff members of the institute. It has various high end servers like AMD quad core, rack servers, IBM xeon servers for the purpose. Computer center also provides the network service to the institute.Presently the center has a computation lab & a server room. computation lab is equipped with more than 30 high end dual boot workstations.The computatonal lab is used by various departments for simulation & programming. Students are encouraged to use only linux environment for internet access. Network printer & scanner are configured with all the clients for helping users.The institute has both wired & wireless networks covering all part of the institute.
Medical Center
IISER Mohanpur campus is well equipped with a small medical aid center.
IISER-K Contributory Medical Scheme (IISER-K CMS)
IISER-K, as part of its commitment to employee welfare, operates the IISER-K CMS which covers all the employees (in service and retirement) and members of their families, employees appointed on temporary basis as well as staff working in research projects for a period exceeding three months, students, Emeritus Scientists, Professors of Endowed Chairs, Senior Associates, Visiting Scientists / Fellows, and Research Fellows. IISER-K Library functions as a library, documentation and information centre catering to education and research in basic sciences. Started in 2006, it is envisaged to expand into a major resource system before long.
