Research
Interest
Our research
interests include the studies on hydrogen bonding, polymorphism,
crystal growth and mechanical properties of crystalline organic small
molecules and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). Techniques
usually employed in our studies are x-ray diffraction, TGA, DSC,
hot-stage microscopy, Raman spectroscopy and nanoindentation.
The ultimate aim of our study is to apply the
"Crystal Engineering" rules to (1) understand and predict the
self-assembly of organic solids, including some simple bio-molecules in
the living systems, and (2) improve the physicochemical properties of
pharmaceutical materials.
