Real Gases: Deviations from ideal behaviour, Equations of state for real gases, van der Waals and Virial equation, Reduced equation of state, Compressibility factors, Intermolecular forces, Limiting density. The Liquid State: Vapour pressure, Surface tension, Viscosity. The Solid State: Crystals, Laws of crystallography, Crystal systems, Crystal analysis, NaCl and KCl structures, Close-packing in crystals, Lattice energy, Born-Haber cycle, Isomorphism.
