Surface processes and landform development including fluvial processes, glacial processes, eolian processes and their landforms; shoreline and karst landforms. Tectonic geomorphic markers and processes; Quaternary geochronology.
Earthquake source and implication to Geodynamics, heat transfer; Fluid Mechanics: 1D channel flow, Asthenospheric counterflow, Plate motion, Factors controlling plate subduction, Response of mantle to loading/unloading at surface; Rock rheology: Deformation mechanisms & flow laws, folding of rocks; Mechanics at divergent plate boundaries; Mechanics at convergent plate boundaries (mountain belts): Channel flow model, Critical wedge theory
