  • Overview of Biochemistry: Acid Base concept, biological buffers, biological interactions;Biochemistry of macro-molecules

  • Protein, Carbohydrates, Lipids, Nucleic acids and Nucleotides (physical properties, structure, function, separation techniques etc.)

  • Enzymology: Classification and nomenclature of enzymes - structures and functions of vitamins and coenzymes, enzyme kinetics, enzyme regulation and recent advances in enzymology

  • Nutrition: Digestion and absorption of food; Concepts of probiotics and prebiotics

  • Overview of cellular metabolism
