The primary aim of hosting the conference/workshop named ‘Asia Pacific Conference and Workshop on Quantum Information Science’ at IISER Kolkata is to bring together leading scientists from the Asia Pacific region and initiate possible collaborations between them. The conference is expected to initiate innovative research on different hot topics in quantum information and quantum computation with emphasis on ideas related to design and realisation of quantum devices like quantum sensors, quantum simulators, topological quantum qubits, quantum communication protocol using weak measurements etc.
