| Details: | Aromaticity is an Important property in Chemistry. Huckel Aromaticity with 4n+2 rule is very well known and has been used widely to infer Aromaticity in molecules. However, Mobius aromaticity deals with 4n pi electron-containing molecules that exhibit Aromaticity under some special conditions. Baird Aromaticity deals with excited state Aromaticity where molecules which are Aromatic in the ground state are anti-aromatic in the excited state and vice-versa. Examples of Huckel Aromatic molecules are plenty in literature while Mobius and Baird aromatic molecules are only recently being reported. In this talk details of Mobius and Baird aromaticity obeying molecules using Non-metal containing expanded porphyrins will be discussed. Also, the conversion of Mobius Aromatic molecules to Huckel aromatic molecules under an external stimulant will also be described. |
