Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is a serious challenge for human health. Therefore, the search for new antibacterial drug targets is necessary. In light of this, we are working on an important bacterial protein called CgtA, which is being considered as a drug target. CgtA is an essential multifunctional protein whose many functions are yet to be discovered. In this aspect, I will present our latest research findings, which reveal a deeper understanding of the cellular roles of CgtA. In addition to the above, I will also present results from our latest cryo-EM studies of Tobamoviruses Infecting Commercial Crops. We solved the structures of a couple of these viruses at atomic resolution, which helped us to generate de novo atomic models. I will discuss our latest structure-function understanding from these studies
