In recent years, AI has acted as a strong ally for the legal domain through effective assistance to various practical legal tasks like statute prediction, summarization etc. This partnership of AI and Law has the potential to assume unprecedented stature with the advent of the Large Language Models. In this talk, the speaker looks to take the audience for a tour of the brief history of AI in the legal domain highlighting the major milestones and also the future directions. |
