| Details: | Quantum computing is currently one of the most promising areas of science and technology. Research in this field is being performed in universities, research institutes and technology companies in many countries in the world. In India, the National Quantum Mission is already underway. Quantum computing has the potential to create an unprecedented revolution in science and technology as it could have a very strong impact in many areas of science and society. It is based on the power and uniqueness of quantum mechanics. This talk will focus on the basics of this field and the current status of its applications to properties of atoms and molecules using digital quantum computers and quantum annealers. |
