| Details: | Any physical system with a large number of particles has a microscopic description which is given by the laws of classical or quantum mechanics. An alternative is a coarse-grained macroscopic description, given by hydrodynamics, in particular by the equations of Euler or Navier-Stokes-Fourier. The lectures will discuss some aspects of the derivation of the hydrodynamic description from the microscopic ones. |
