| Details: | Nitrene transfer has emerged as a simple and powerful method to directly access wide ranges of amine derivatives from hydrocarbons. So far the most efficient and general catalysts rely on noble metals and a strong emphasis is put on replacing them by greener ones, in particular iron. We have developed efficient mono- and diiron catalysts able to catalyze nitrene transfer in mild conditions. In-depth mechanistic studies of these reactions combining spectroscopic studies, mechanistic probes and DFT calculations have provided a rationale allowing to design new improved catalysts. |
