Introduction

A hands-on microscopy workshop co-organised by Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata, Indian Association for the Cultivation Of Science (IACS), Kolkata, Raman Research Institute (RRI), Bangalore, and Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), Bangalore. This would be a satellite workshop to the Indian Biophysical Society meeting - IBS 2019 and conducted over 4 days at IISER and IACS.

This course provides didactic and hands-on training in optical microscopy techniques for imaging biological specimen. A range of topics from basic microscopy to microinjection will be covered. Research seminars detailing applications of light microscopy to address specific biological questions will also be part of the program. Lectures will be combined with hands-on training on microscopes. There will also be a short introductory session to image analysis.
