We at the department of Physical Sciences at IISER-Kolkata are organizing an Inter-IISER Physics Meet, a 3-day symposium. What we have in mind is a rather intensive but informal meeting of short talks and poster sessions. The details of the academic programme are still to be finalized and we welcome your feedback about it.
Who are invited: We extend our invitation to all the faculty members of all the IISERs who work in any area of Physics. We also extend the invitation to all the Post-docs and Ph.D students at IISERs working in any area of Physics.
Date and Venue: The date for the 3 day symposium is 17-19 February, 2012 and it will be held at the Mohanpur Campus of IISER Kolkata. See contacts for the address. (How to reach)
Accomodation: For the period of the symposium (evening of 16th Feb till morning of 20th Feb, 2012) all the out-station participants will be accomodated in our Guest House in the Mohanpur Campus and some Hotels in the locality.
Important: If you wish to spend some time before or after the symposium, kindly write to some faculty at IISER Kolkata and the arrangements may be made accordingly.
Travel Support: A limited travel support may be made available for Post-docs and Ph.D Students who do not have any other source of funding for their travel to attend this symposium. Those who need this support may write separately to iipm@iiserkol.ac.in after registration.
