IISER Kolkata

About

Established in the year 2018, the club aims to promote Speedcubing, the art of speed-solving the Rubik’s Cube and other Rubik’s labelled puzzles not only among the students of IISER Kolkata, but also among other colleges by organising national level competitions and workshops in West Bengal and India.

Speedcubing has many benefits ranging from increase in cognitive and spatial reasoning, hand-eye coordination, to algorithmic thinking and a boost in memory. Apart from this, the Rubik’s Club aims to bring opportunities for community membership and leadership to young people at IISER-K through organising competitions and workshops. We believe that experiences at competitions and within our community create growth opportunities for everyone participating.
