Introduction: This laboratory course will expose students to hand specimen and thin section of sedimentary rocks. Course Content: Sedimentary particle size analysis; Siliciclastic sedimentary rock (hand specimen and thin section); Carbonate sedimentary rock (hand specimen and thin section); Chemical sedimentary rock (hand specimen); Sedimentary structures; Constructing Litholog & depositional environment interpretation. |
