Preamble
This course intends to provide introductory concept of the different principles of Quantum Chemistry.

Syllabus
Failure of classical mechanics, introduction to quantum mechanics, de Broglie waves, uncertainty principle, wave function and Schrodinger equation, postulates of quantum mechanics, operators, eigenfunctions and eigenvalues, probability interpretation, particle in a box, qualitative summary of simple harmonic oscillator and hydrogen atom problem.

Prerequisite
Knowledge of classical mechanics, Linear vector space algebra.
