Syllabus
1) Vectors, Representation of Vectors, Products of Vectors, Vector Calculus, Differentiation with respect to (w. r. t.) a vector, Integration w. r. t. a vector, Gradient, Divergent, Curl, Polar and Spherical Coordinates, Linear Operators, Commutators, Hermitian Operators (10 lectures).

2) Determinants, Matrices, Rank, Cramers Rule, Matrix Algebra, Matrix eigenvalue problem, Eigen value and eigen vectors, Application of matrices to chemistry, Legendre Polynomials (10 lectures)

3) Differentiation and Integration Functions, Continuity, Differentiation, Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, Integration, Improper Integrals, The Gamma Function, The Beta Function, The Error Function, The Dirac Delta Function. Series and Limits: Convergence and Divergence Series, Power Series, Applications (8 lectures).

4) The Complex Numbers: Only Concepts, Complex Plane (1 lecture)

5) Probability and Statistics: Distributions, Regression Analysis, Correlation Analysis (3 lectures).

6) Data Analyses: successive iteration and error analysis, plotting data, Mean, median, mode, standard deviation, goodness of a fit, maximum likelihood estimation, multiple exponentiality, average from multiple exponentiality, stretched exponential, sigmoidal function, polynomial function, power law etc. (5 lectures)
