  • Basic Optics: Wave nature of light, Interference, Diffraction, Polarization.
  • Wave equation and propagation. Phase and group velocities. Wave packets. (Complex representation of waves)
  • Continuity conditions of electric and magnetic fields at the interfaces, Fresnels laws. Fermats principles.
