The heavy symmetric top. Small oscillations. Normal modes and coordinates. Scattering by central forces. The differential cross section for Rutherford scattering. Dynamics of simple non-linear systems. Stability of autonomous and non-autonomous systems. Equilibrium, limit cycle, quasi-periodicity and chaos. |
