Styles of eruption; Forecasting and mitigation of volcano hazard; Tsunami causes and prediction;
Prediction and prevention of landslides; Landslide zonation and risk assessment; Flood hazard and
mitigation; Environmental hazards Nuclear waste; Ground water pollution-Water pollutants,
contamination by metals, behaviour of radionuclides, introduction to contaminant transport
processes, colloid-associated-contaminant transport, organic contamination, Geochemical aspects of
remediation of contaminated aquifers; Environmental impact assessment of natural hazards,
Important case studies of natural hazards.
