Syllabus
Enrolment: A student has to enrol him/herself in the course and should also opt for the course in the Welearn portal. Following are the dates for enrolling in the NPTEL portal.

Course start date: 26 July, 2021
Course end date: 15 October, 2021
Exam date: 23 October, 2021
Enrollment ends: ongoing, until 02 Aug 2021

Examination: The course will contain assignments as well as end sem evaluation which will be conducted by NPTEL. The student has to register separately for the exam and write the proctored exam conducted by NPTEL in person at any of the designated exam centres. In case there is a delay or cancellation of the exam, the department of CDS will conduct the exam.

NPTEL will make the announcement regarding the commencement of registration for the examination. The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid (by the candidate). More details will be made available by NPTEL when the exam registration form is published in the NPTEL course website. If there are any changes, they will be mentioned then.

Supplementary examination: In case a student fails in the course, there will be a provision for appearing for a supplementary exam which will be conducted by the department of CDS.

Basic knowledge of probabilities for the lectures and python for programming assignment
