Syllabus
Time dependent perturbation theory. Selection rules for atomic transitions . The adiabatic theorem. Berry phase. Example: Spin 1/2 particle in a cyclically time varying magnetic field.

Scattering theory: scattering from spherical symmetric potential and partial wave expansion, optical theorem, the first Born approximation etc. Examples : scattering
from a hard sphere, Screened Coulomb potential.

Many identical particles: Symmetric and antisymmetric wavefunctions. Example: He atom

Second quantization: Fock states, creation annihilation operators for bosons and fermions.

Radiation interacting with a 2-level system, Rabi oscillations
EPR and Bells inequalities.
