PH4112 Research Project I _ Not Yet Decided _

This course requires approval from the respective instructor for enrolment

Preamble
This course spanning 4 semesters is designed to be an elective course that will allow an interested student to start working on a cutting-edge research project in their 4th year itself.

Having a longer duration to complete their Masters project would allow one to be involved in their research project at a deeper level. Thus, the chances of having a fruitful outcome in the form of a publication emanating from their research work is much higher. It is expected to be beneficial for both the students and the supervisors.

Having the same total credits, these 4 Research Project courses together would substitute the current MS Project course in 5th year for the students who opt for these Research Project courses.

Syllabus
Enrolment:

Final enrolment is only done by the UGAC Coordinator.

Prerequisite
This course has only one prerequisite that the interested students must find a faculty member from DPS who is willing to supervise their projects. There may be a CGPA cut-off imposed as an eligibility criterion. The cut-off is expected to be dynamic and will likely change from year to year. Final enrolment for these courses would require approval from departmental UGAC.

Given these courses would substitute one of the departmental elective courses, the research project must be carried out within the department itself.
