Syllabus
The One Health approach addresses the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health to identify sustainable solutions to multidimensional challenges,
including:

Emerging Infectious Diseases- Zoonotic pathogens (e.g., influenza viruses, coronaviruses, Ebola) that can cross species barriers, posing significant public health risks with far-reaching socioeconomic consequences.

Food, Land, and Water Safety Contamination of food, agricultural land, and water sources by pathogens, pollutants, and toxins, compromising health and food security.

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Overuse and misuse of antibiotics in humans and animals, driving the rise of drug-resistant pathogens and complicating disease treatment. (IS)

Ecosystem and Biodiversity Loss Habitat destruction, deforestation, and climate change disrupt ecosystems, increasing the risk of pathogen spillover and reducing
natural disease resilience.

This course has been designed to enhance understanding and skills in addressing these challenges, contributing to improved and sustainable global health security.
