On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, IISER Kolkata organized an invited lecture on 9 March 2026 at the Asima Chatterjee Lecture Hall Theatre. The programme began with an engaging interaction session with the Honorable Guest, Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Head of NCSTC & SHRI Division, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. She then delivered a captivating lecture titled “India’s Transition from Women’s Development to Women-Led Development.” The session concluded with an active discussion where participants shared ideas on women’s empowerment, leadership, and their growing role in shaping the nation’s future.
