Haldane Avenue, Kolkata 700046 and on Saturday, 24 March, 2018, 4:00 PM LHC 107, IISER Kolkata Mohanpur Campus. The shows are free and open to all, and passes are not necessary.

IISER Kolkata Outreach on 8th December organized a one day Workshop on Quantum Science and Technology with Prof G. S. Agrawal, Prof D. Home, Prof P. K. Panigrahi, Dr. Sourin Das and others. There were several lectures by students of IISER and other institutions.

Vijyoshi 2017 organized by IISER Kolkata with KVPY took place successfully inspiring hundreds of young students and exposing them to the frontiers of science and research in the world . Prof Sourav Pal, director, IISER Kolkata in his inaugural note inspired the audience to innovate, introspect and illuminate minds with positivism, happiness and called for doing borderless science.
IISER Kolkata along with Royal Society of Chemistry and Government of West Bengal, hosted the first Salters Camp in West Bengal which held from 19th-21st December, 2017 at IISER Kolkata. 66 students selected by the Directorate of School Education, spanning 22 schools and 5 districts took part in this camp. The program offered an action-packed sojourn for the participating students at IISER Kolkata that included hands-on practical activities in IISER labs, exciting chemical demonstrations, chance to meet like-minded students including a flavor of life at the IISER. The Camp activities were conducted in Bengali in addition to English.
Prof. P.P. Divakaran speaks at IISER Kolkata on 25th November, 2017. The talk centered around an overview of the development of the mathematical culture of India, from the earliest times till about 1600 AD.
IISER Kolkata Outreach organized “Entrepreneurship Day” on 21st November 2017. After welcoming address of Prof P. K. Panigrahi (DOIRO) Prof. Sourav Pal, director IISER Kolkata, delivered an outstanding lecture outlining the future landscape of innovation ecosystem of IISER Kolkata and around. Dr. T. Ramasami, former secretary DST, in another illuminating lecture outlined the key elements of an innovation knowledge ecosystem in an academic setting and beyond. Two student groups from the Entrepreneurship workshop pitched their ideas. Mr. Pankaj Thakar from PADUP Ventures, Gurgaon, lucidly outlined the practical needs in running startups while Mr. Arihant Kothari outlined the opportunities from Nasscom. The program concluded with the award giving session followed by the vote of thanks by Dr. Amirul Islam Mallick. The audience were gifted with lot of ideas and were invited to execute their ideas in practice.
IISER Kolkata Outreach Team organized a workshop on Entrepreneurship on November 15th. Prof Sourav Pal, director of IISER Kolkata focuseid on the need of innovation and entrepreneurship in the campus. The students desgned entrepreneurship projects in that workshop and presented them in front of Prof P. K. Panigrahi (Dean of International Relations and Outreach) at the end of the workshop.
One Day Workshop for North East Students was organized by Institute Outreach on 4th December 2017. 70 Students from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas (VKVs), Arunachal Pradesh had spent the entire day with us by touring our research laboratories, attending exciting science talks. The purpose of this workshop was to enthuse young minds in science and research, foster curiosity both in and out of the classroom and motivate them to become next generation scientists.
