Conjugated Polymers: Organic heterol (thiophene, selenophene) are good materialsorganic semiconductor devices. Our research is focused on the following topics:(i) Metodologies development for new aromatic moieties.(ii) Electrochemical and chemical polymerisation for the synthesis of conjugated polymers.(iii) Molecular designing to control optical band gap, oxidation stability, and solution processebility(iv) Application of polymers in organic semiconducting devices like Field Effect Transistor (FET), Bulk Heterojunction Solar Cells.Conjugated Macrocycles: Macrocyclic system containing heterol ring like pyrrole, thiophene, ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT). Better ?-? stacking lead to nanocavity. Their application in Thin Film Transistor (TFT), Non Linear Optics (NLO).Synthesis of Conjugated Small Molecules and their Application: Synthesis of conjugated azomethine, molecules with triphenyl ammine moieties, dendron type molecules, small cooligomer and their application to optical sensor for metal ions, Organic FET.Synthesis of organic dyes containing donor-?-conjugated-acceptor (D-?-A) type arcitecture containing thiophene and selenophene. Molecular designing, to tune the optical and electrochemical properties.
