Advertisement for JRF in the project ‘Smart Legal Consultant: AI-based Legal Analytics’ at IISER Kolkata

 

A position for a JRF is available in the research group of Dr. Kripabandhu Ghosh, Assistant Professor, Department of Computational and Data Sciences, IISER Kolkata. The JRF is expected to perform research on the application of AI/ML techniques on Legal Analytics.

 

  1. Title of the project: Smart Legal Consultant: AI-based Legal Analytics

  2. Funding Agency: TCG Centres for Research and Education in Science and Technology (TCG CREST)

  3. Principal Investigator: Dr. Kripabandhu Ghosh, Assistant Professor, Department of Computational and Data Sciences, IISER Kolkata

  4. Remuneration: Rs. 34,100 (10% HRA included) per month

  5. Tenure: Initially for a period of 12 months extendable for a further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and availability of funds

  6. Basic Eligibility Criteria: Master's degree with minimum 65% marks or CGPA/CPI of 7.5 on a 10-point scale in any field of Computer Science; minimum 60% marks or CGPA/CPI of 7.5 on a 10-point scale in the Bachelor's degree and minimum 65% marks or CGPA/CPI of 7.5 on a 10-point at the 10+2 level

  7. Desirable additional qualifications: Experience with the state of the art ML/AI and Deep Learning techniques; sound programming skills preferably in python programming language

  8. Age limit: Must not be over 30 years as on 28th February 2021 which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.

  10. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be asked to appear in an online interview. The details of the online interview will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates by email. The interview will be held between 7th March to 14th March 2021.

  12. The decision of the selection committee will be final.

  13. The appointment of the candidate will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency particularly applicable to the said project.

  14. The selected candidate will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.

  15. The fellowship may be terminated with a 30-day notice before completion of the tenure, if performance till date is not deemed satisfactory.
