Background of the project: The project intends to understand aspects of nitrogen cycling with a focus on deducing structure and function of microbial communities linked to rates and fluxes of nitrogen in the Hindon sub basin while addressing the overall theme of sustainable agri-water use. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent. Proven experience in the area of conducting sampling in riverine systems or developing approaches to understand aspects of nitrogen budget in riverine system would be welcome.
