  1. Principal Investigator: Prof. Amlan K. Roy, Professor, Dept. of Chemical Sciences.

  1. Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in theoretical or computational chemistry along with consistently good academic record in previous examinations. Candidates should have a strong theoretical background (with knowledge on quantum mechanics/chemistry) and will have to carry out theoretical development on Density Functional Theory (DFT).

  1. Desired Qualification: Expertise in Density functional Theory, scientific programming and numerical analysis will be necessary.

  1. Age limit: Must not be over 32 years as of 15th March, 2021 which can be relaxed for certain reserved categories as per the prevailing rules of the Government of India. Relaxation in age, educational qualification or experience may be considered in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates.

  1. Remuneration (Consolidated): As per CSIR rule.

  1. Tenure: Initially for a period of 1 (one) year, extendable upto a maximum of 3 years, subject to satisfactory performance of the fellow and the availability of fund.

  1. No TA / DA will be provided to the candidate for the interview.

  2. The appointment of the candidate will be governed by the terms and conditions of the said project of the funding agency.

  3. The decision of the selection committee will be final.

  4. If the number of candidates appearing for the online interview is large, the selection committee may decide to restrict the number of candidates for the interview to a reasonable limit after considering qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.

  5. The selected candidate will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.

  6. The fellowship may be terminated with a 30-day notice before completion of the tenure, if the performance is not deemed satisfactory.
