Advertisement for Position of Animal House Technician (SYMEC Project)

Applications are invited for the post of two Animal House Technician contractual positions for a “Systems Medicine: Acceleration using a Cluster Approach” (SyMec) research project in the multidisciplinary translational research field undertaken in the Department of Biological Sciences, IISER Kolkata.

Position: Animal House Technician

No. of Vacancy: 2

Minimum Eligibility: B.Sc in any branch of Sciences from a recognized Board/Institute.

Desirable Qualifications:

Basic knowledge in animal science, mouse anatomy and basic physiology. Basic knowledge of using computers for record keeping and data analysis is required.

Job Responsibilities:

Day-to-day care of the animal house, cage cleaning, mice dissection, mice breeding, maintenance of mice colony, routine primary and cell culture work, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry.

The person should not be allergic to animals.

Salary: 12,000/- per month (consolidated)
